WRITING SERVICES.

"Taking Wancy Young Cho’s autobiographical fiction course was life-changing. At the time, I was struggling to complete a manuscript, unsure of my voice, and constantly hitting creative roadblocks. Wancy’s mentorship, encouragement, and belief in my writing helped me break through those mental hurdles and I was able to finally finish my book.

In fact, the short story I wrote in his class became my debut book. Wancy is not only an incredible teacher but also one of the kindest and most supportive mentors a writer could ask for!"

COACHING

You can sort of look at coaching as the combination of a private workshop and writing therapy. Throughout my entire education, the teachers I remember best and with absolute fondness are the ones who approached learning with encouragement. And this is at the root of my approach to writing coaching. Let me be your cheerleader! That said, we are always working in service of the story, so you can count on my honesty and insight as well.

My one-on-one support has been used by my clients to develop and/or complete drafts of short stories, personal essays, novels, memoirs, screenplays, and more. Before each session, I'll read the work provided by you, then compile thoughts, notes, and questions. When we meet, we'll take a deep dive and engage in a conversation that I hope will embolden you to see your project through to the end.

It all kicks off with a free consultation meeting. That's where we'll determine how best to approach your work.

  • 1 session - $175

  • 3 sessions - $450

  • 5 sessions - $750

  • 10 sessions - $1400

All sessions include reading, notes, and discussion. Multi-session packages must be paid in full prior to start.

MANUSCRIPT CONSULTATION

If you're here, it means you've got a draft of something! It's certainly worth celebrating but now what?

Revision, that's where. And maybe you're not sure where to go from The End, and that's where it's useful to bring someone else aboard. Let it be me!

As with my coaching, my approach to manuscript consultations first comes from a place of applause before we dig into how best to serve the story you're wanting to tell. After our initial meeting, I will read your work in full and include in-doc commentary. Then in our follow-up meeting, we'll explore what's working and what you might do in the next draft of your project.

Rates vary depending on the project type project length, so please fill out the form below to set up a free consultation meeting.
